Premiere for new trade show within industry: Smart Manufacturing

In February 2021, the new trade show Smart Manufacturing will be launched at Malmömässan in Sweden, a show that brings suppliers, industry organizations and knowledge leaders together with manufacturing companies in Sweden and the Öresund region. The show will be held 3 – 4 February 2021.

Smart Manufacturing will focus on the manufacturing industry’s transition from analogue to digital production and the connection of factories according to Industry 4.0. Overall, the fair will focus on smart solutions for digitization, resource efficiency, predictive maintenance and fast production changes.

– “We see a great need and demand from the industry for knowledge development within Industry 4.0, where many perceive smart industry as a very important area for continued development but where the lack of practical knowledge and experience impedes change.”, says Caroline Berkow, Head of Event for Smart Manufacturing at Easyfairs Nordic.

The show will offer a large seminar program, networking activities, as well as an exhibition with leading suppliers on the market. Smart machines and industrial equipment, operational technology, digital infrastructure and technical digital aids is an example of what will be show on the exhibition floor. Smart manufacturing is divided into three main focus areas; Smart Products, Smart Technology and Smart People. The division includes the equipment needed in production, the technology that connects the processes and collects data, as well as the people who analyze and enable the connection between physical and digital product.

New opportunities in agile production and rapid industrial change can contribute to increased competitiveness and a more sustainable, resource-efficient society. “, comments Caroline.

Part of a larger network of trade shows
For many years, Easyfairs Nordic has invited the Northern countries industrial companies to a variety of industrial and technical trade shows including; Advanced Engineering, Logistics & Automation, Plastteknik Nordic, Empack, Elektronikmässan and Water & Waste. The new show Smart Manufacturing will be held in parallel to Logistics & Automation in Malmö enabling the visitor to get a full view of the whole production chain. Internationally Easyfairs organizes 220 events in 17 countries and owns and operates 10 exhibition venues.

Good response despite prevailing circumstances
The new trade show is scheduled to have its premiere in February 2021. Easyfairs is working hard on safety and sanitation plans and protocols in order to ensure that its events are safe harbours for communities to meet and do business in the months and years to come. Investments are being made in a wide range of solutions from increased hygiene procedures to technology to facilitate social distancing and an impeccable level of sanitation. Easyfairs follows the recommendations of the Public Health Authority where the safety of visitors, exhibitors and partners will always go first.
